A shared fund pool, not a wallet

One pool for your group. Everyone in, before anyone spends.

Potli is where your group's trip, wedding, or event money lives — for a while. Everyone contributes upfront into one shared pool, expenses get approved, and every payout goes straight to the vendor. No settlements. No ‘send me your share’ texts.

  • Funds held in a licensed virtual account
  • Bank-grade encryption
  • Payouts direct to vendor UPI

What exactly is a Potli?

A potli is the small pouch people have pooled money into for generations.

We built the same idea for group money in 2026 — one shared pool your whole group pays into before anyone spends a rupee.

How it works

From ‘who's paying?’ to one shared pool

Four steps, and no one ever has to send a settlement reminder again.

01

Create a Potli

Name it, set a contribution amount per person, and pick per-member spend limits if you want them.

02

Everyone contributes

Members join with an invite link and pay their share in before the trip or event begins.

03

Spend together

Anyone submits an expense with the vendor's UPI ID. Admin approves it, and the pool pays out directly.

04

Stay transparent

Every contribution and expense is visible to the whole group in real time — no settlements needed.

Features

Built for how groups actually spend money

Every feature exists to answer one question: whose money is this, and where did it go?

Real-time visibility

Every member sees the pool balance, who's contributed, and what's been spent — live, not at the end.

Per-member spend limits

Admins can cap how much each member can spend from the pool. Anything above the limit needs their approval first.

Direct-to-vendor payouts

Approved expenses pay the vendor's UPI ID directly. Money never bounces through a member's personal account.

Built for every occasion

Any group, any reason to pool money

Trip

Flights, stays, and the bill that always comes at the end of the night

Wedding

Shared family expenses, vendor payments, all in one visible pool

Roommates

Rent, groceries, and bills — split before they're spent, not after

Event

Birthdays, farewells, reunions — one pool for everyone chipping in

Team

Offsites and team outings without a spreadsheet of receipts

Custom

Any group, any purpose — a Potli adapts to what you're pooling for

Security & trust

Your money never sits with Potli.

Contributions move directly into a regulated virtual account with our licensed banking partner. Potli never holds, lends, or earns anything on your group's money — our job is to track who put in what, enforce spend limits, and route approved payouts to the right vendor.

  • Contributions held in a licensed, RBI-regulated virtual account — never in Potli's own account
  • Every payout is verified against group balance and per-member spend limits before it fires
  • OTP-based login with account lockout after repeated failed attempts
FAQ

Questions people actually ask

No. A Potli doesn't store value indefinitely the way a wallet does. It's a temporary pool created for one purpose — a trip, event, or shared expense — that empties out and closes once that purpose is done, with any leftover refunded.

Yes. Contributions are held in a regulated virtual account with our licensed banking partner, not in any account Potli controls. We only instruct payouts — we never take custody of the money ourselves.

It's refunded to every member proportionally, based on how much each person contributed.

Stop chasing settlements.
