Start to finish

From a group idea to a shared pool, step by step

No settlements, no chasing, no spreadsheets — here's exactly what happens from the moment you create a Potli to the moment it closes.

How it works

From ‘who's paying?’ to one shared pool

Four steps, and no one ever has to send a settlement reminder again.

01

Create a Potli

Name it, set a contribution amount per person, and pick per-member spend limits if you want them.

02

Everyone contributes

Members join with an invite link and pay their share in before the trip or event begins.

03

Spend together

Anyone submits an expense with the vendor's UPI ID. Admin approves it, and the pool pays out directly.

04

Stay transparent

Every contribution and expense is visible to the whole group in real time — no settlements needed.

A worked example

What a Potli actually looks like in practice

Five friends plan a trip to Goa. Here's exactly how their pool moves from first contribution to a blocked overspend.

Goa Trip

₹50,000 pool

5 members · ₹10,000 each

Spend limits set by the admin

Rahul · ₹15,000Priya · ₹12,000Arjun · ₹10,000Sneha · ₹8,000Vikram · ₹5,000

What happens as expenses come in

Hotel · Rahul
-₹14,000
Food · Priya
-₹6,000
Fuel · Arjun
-₹4,500
Hotel · Rahul
-₹1,500

Blocked — ₹14,000 already spent + ₹1,500 would pass Rahul's ₹15,000 limit

Stop chasing settlements.
